Lynn G. Schrader, a Certified Fund Raising Executive, is President and Principal Consultant of The Schrader Group, LLC, a full service fundraising consulting firm. His firm has provided counsel, advice and training for many of the Seattle area’s premier nonprofit organizations, including KCTS Television, the Seattle Public Library Foundation, Historic Seattle, Nikkei Concerns, Intiman Theatre, and the Seattle Men’s Chorus.
From 2002 through 2006, Lynn served as Director of Development, and subsequently as Assistant Dean for Development and External Relations, for the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. Under his leadership, over $50 million was raised (126% of the Evans School’s $40 million goal), which included the largest gifts raised in the history of the School from individuals, foundations and corporations.
He increased the number of alumni who contributed annually by 224% and their total annual contributions by 869%. In addition, he established the School’s first planned giving program, initiated the graduating class gift campaign, created the School’s online giving website, and forged new and enhanced partnerships with community organizations.
Fundraising Accomplishments
- $15 million raised for three campuses of Seattle Community College District as Director of Major Gifts
- $11 million raised to build the Charlotte Martin Theatre and endow Seattle Children’s Theatre as Development Director
- $4.5 million raised for Pacific Northwest Ballet over a three-year period as Development Director
- $7 million raised to build the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in Olympia
